CAN YOU BELEIVE IT?!!? I FINALLY MADE SOMETHING!
I WAS (and still am) needing some DIY therapy!!
I had a dose or two this weekend! Look what I made!
I am so pumped...I really love it!
It's made from old fencing that we didnt need anymore...remember this post?
I had some left over paint so this was 100% FREE! My hubs likes that kinda crafting!
I even got creative with my paint stirrers...
my version of a "Paint Stick"!
Teehee!
1-Started out with using leftover blue paint to create a wide strip on top and bottom.
2-Then used yellow spray paint and just sprayed a line without taping. I wanted a worn look so it was a perfect excuse not to tape ( I dislike taping...ALOT)!
3-Then I painted my "G" and when it was all dry, I sanded it until I got just enough "chippiness".
4-Next, I mixed gray paint with white paint and water and used a cloth to wash it on for an airy coastal driftwood look.
And that's all folks!
My patio is still a LOOOONG way off but this is it in progress.
I am TOTALLY into the whole "Painted Wood with Words or Letters" trend!
Are you!?!?

OH this is so cute. I love it. Thanks for sharing with the newbie party.
ReplyDeleteGood job! I have a simple spray paint project I can't get in the mood to do. Maybe your post will help me!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out lovely! Left over paint is my best friend for new diy projects! I had a to giggle when I read your comment on how hubby likes that kind of crafting! haha... Because that's TRUE in my house too! Anyway, your patio may not be done yet but it's coming together nicely- that's the beauty of it! We get to change things around and around until we like it and then get tired of it and do it again! ;)
ReplyDeleteOH I love it!! Can't wait to see what you come up with what you "NEED SOMETHING HERE" ;)
