Well Good Day Blogworld!

Things are slowing down *SORTA* so I am really happy to be able to bounce back into the NORM.

I have TONS of projects backed up and in the works...one of them is incorporating words that inspire me through out every room of my home! I know it is important to be reminded of certain things that we may forget from day to day as the hectic background noise of life overwhelms us!

WHOA! WHAT A WEEKEND! I have been on an emotional roller-coaster..BIG TIME! 

Here's the rundown...

• The whole family was in a wedding..YES, I said WHOLE...We survived...barely...The things we do for the ones we love..
• I LOST Someone obviously STOLE my new iPhone! I am literally in mourning right now!
• I was and still am sick with a horrible sinus thing!
• Me and my son, while in our wedding attire (his being rented), stepped in a mud pit while leaving the wedding at 10:30 at night!
• OH, and the highlight...the dress that I had altered for the wedding, was all "jacked" up so the morning of the wedding I was shopping for a new one!

Oh what a weekend...but now onto MARVEL-US MONDAY!

What is Marvel-us Monday, you might ask? Well then...I shall tell you!

I have been searching pinterest and the web for birthday inspiration for my little one who is turning 6 this weekend! I was so excited to see the loads of ideas on Rainbow Parties! 

TONS AND TONS!

These were some of my faves!

These pancakes from Flavela look so fun! There isn't really any "Tut" on how to make them, but I figure it's a no-brainer...Just add food coloring to the batter, I assume! YUM!

Over at beneath the rowan tree, is a great idea on using sharpies to make tie-dye t-shirts! Super cute idea!  I can't wait to try this one!

I'm torn between the tie-die die idea or this cool idea from Alpha Mom using Sandpaper as an iron on transfer! ARE YOU SERIOUS? GENIUS!

I love this rainbow party favor idea from Our Best Bites! Super cute!!

I don't know about ya'll, but

ORGANIZATION{POST 1}:IN THE BEGINNING...

This is my photo booth cork board display! I haven't seen it in months as it has been buried under utter madness that I would call...My DESK!

WOW! Let the journey to organization begin!

This past weekend consisted of some serious purging and the beginning of the Blog series:

OUR FAMILY'S JOURNEY TO GETTING ORGANIZED!

YES!        HALLELUJAH!       PRAISE DA' LORD!

It's been long overdue and so very needed! I would like to begin this series with getting very vulnerable and showing the world our chaos! BUT before I do, let me preface this by saying that

We are very VERY busy people 

Full Time Jobs

Photography Jobs

Wedding Jobs

Interior Decorating Jobs

Mixed Martial Arts-kids

Dancing-kids

Church Core Leadership

Small Group Bible Leaders

Singing on Church Worship Team

...squeezing in some family time and a date night in there from time to time...

Did I forget anything?! HMM...I think that's mostly it! Maybe...

So YEAH, like I said...pretty busy!

So with that said, the chaos is justified, BUT NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Below is the before and after of this weekend's purge-fest!

Now I can start to make things pretty!

What sparked my motivation to getting organized came from several avenues.

My TOP TEN REASONS for BEGINNING THE JOURNEY to ORGANIZATION:

Kids are wearing my socks to school because there socks are M.I.A.!

Forget to pay bills because those are M.I.A. too!

Found a $75 money order for a photography job deposit from 2 YEARS AGO in an old purse!

Cried when family members came over unannounced and see the chaos!

Have makeup from 2002 in my bathroom drawer...ewww!

I found a fudge round in the closet!

My deodorant mysteriously disappeared!

Went to work with two different earrings on because they were all stuck together and I was in a rush!

So that I can make every thing pretty and sparkly without fishing through the junk first!

TO LOVE MY HOME AGAIN and HAVE PEACE OF MIND!

MASTER BATHROOM INSPIRATIONS: READY-SET-GO!

Putting on my makeup on Easter morning was not such a pleasant experience! Why? Because 

I HATE  MY MASTER BATHROOM!

I know, I know... your thinking "Well then do something about it!"

And do something, I shall!!  

Seriously, the lighting is a nightmare, the space is annoying, mainly because the doorknob hits me in the butt every time someone opens it while I am at the mirror.  The tile is cracked because it wasn't installed appropriately for a home that is off the ground. The trim and casing around the tub is falling off because there was no access panel to open it up for repair or to press the little red button on the plug when the breaker tripped it...

...AND NO STORAGE!!

OH, THE FRUSTRATION!

Like my KITCHEN INSPIRATIONS HERE, I am pinning and acquiring inspiration to make my master bathroom-MASTERFUL! 

I love this from Houzz.com! The floor is my biggest fave! Oh and the chandelier is pretty awesome! Oh and the full glass shower...OK I guess I love it all!

Over at My Not-So-Shaby Life, she shared a great easy tutorial on DIY Hardware for a sliding Barn Door! This will completely fix the doorknob-in-the-butt problem!
